South Granville Gallery Hop 2019

The Gallery Hop promises a day of art, education and inspiration!  Saturday October 19th, 10 am – 5 pm.

IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN “filter/ed” the brilliant exhibition of landscape paintings by Lesley Finlayson now’s your chance.

1:00 PM Artist talk
Meet MAGGEE DAY currently enrolled in the MFA program at Emily Carr University. Learn how artists are using technology as an intermediary in the painting process. Starting with a photograph, transferring it digitally to an iPad, manipulating shapes and colours and then taking brush to canvas, painting comes full circle.

Today, South Granville has the highest concentration of established fine art galleries in Vancouver, its legacy as gallery row is cemented as it continues to thrive a half century since its founding. Our galleries offer a diverse range of art including: Canadian and International contemporary, European modernism and old masters, historical and emerging Canadian art as well as two galleries devoted to First Nations and Inuit work.

Join the community of 9 South Granville Galleries for a special day of exhibitions, events and talks. Participating Galleries and their locations are found at WWW.SGGA.CA
